Welcome to Abbey Hill Golf Club
Abbey Hill Golf Club is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club. It was founded in 1975 utilising the Abbey Hill golf course, owned by the local council and now operated and maintained by Burhill Golf Limited. The current clubhouse, owned by the Club, was built in 1989 on land leased from the local council.
With over 350 members we aim to provide well organised golf competitions and to develop an enjoyable environment for members to play golf and socialise with friends. It provides a full programme of competitions across Mens, Ladies & Seniors sections and through it's affiliation with England Golf also provides an official WHS handicap for all members allowing them to play at courses requiring handicap certificates.
Social Memberships are available and the main function room, accommodating 150 guests, can be hired for Private use at a minimal cost to members, subject to conditions.

50th Anniversary Competitions
Weekend Results

Our 50th Anniversary Celebrations were blessed with glorious weather throughout the weekend. It certainly helped the golf and in particular a couple of players playing tee shots at Par 3’s. Having recorded 3 Hole-in-Ones in the past 7 days we had a further two on Sunday. Paul Coe holed out on the 8th and John (Jay) West on the 12th. I can’t remember seeing so many bottles on the bar! The Saturday Par 3 Competition was won by Pat Booden and the main event of the weekend The Stratstone BMW sponsored Anniversary Stableford was won by Gary Sheridan with runner-up David Smith a point behind. Here is Gary receiving the Trophy from Club President Alan Pease and Club Captain Alan Bennett. Following the presentation Roger Dimmock shared some lovely memories of his 50 years with the club.
